Aware Government Culture

The New Employees Program in the Public Sector “Tasees” is the first starting point for new government employees within the leadership program ladder of the National Leadership Development Program at the Institute of Public Administration. It represents the foundation for building an employee who understands their role within the public sector work system through leadership thinking, Bahraini values, and the spirit of Team Bahrain. The program aims to introduce new employees to their job responsibilities by enabling them with the basic rules and principles of work, in addition to understanding their rights and commitment to their duties.

Program Language

  • Tasees is delivered in Arabic across all offered modules.

Duration

  • Program duration: 5 training days, equivalent to 35 learning hours.
  • Program timing: from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Program Details

The program consists of the following modules:

  • Promising Leadership: This topic encourages participants to explore their leadership inclinations and learn from the experiences and thinking of leaders, grounded in national and administrative values. It also strengthens their awareness of their influential role in the government work system and citizen service. Participants will be equipped with methods to identify administrative challenges in their work environment and invest available opportunities within a fair competitive environment to achieve personal excellence.
  • Bahrain Between the Past, Present, and Future: This topic develops participants' understanding of the past, present, and future of the Kingdom of Bahrain through Bahrain's history and shared national values. It also introduces the key pillars of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and the main themes in the royal addresses of His Majesty the King, helping shape a national leadership personality and enabling participants to represent Bahrain in local and international forums.
  • Communication with a National Identity: This topic provides participants with the essential knowledge needed to deal with different personalities in the workplace, including customers and partners, so they can perform their duties professionally while strengthening their role and responsibility in preserving their Bahraini identity and institutional reputation. Participants will also learn core workplace protocol skills to achieve a high level of communication and positive influence, and to provide the best services to citizens in support of the public sector interest.
  • Pension Law: This topic builds participants' awareness at the beginning of their professional lives around pension benefits and rights, helping them plan their career path from the start of their public sector employment. It introduces pension law terminology and the retirement rights guaranteed by the Kingdom of Bahrain to public sector employees, with the aim of building awareness that supports reassurance and social stability. Participants will also learn about pension entitlement cases, retirement rewards, and methods for calculating pensions based on years of service in public and private sector institutions, in addition to pension benefits provided by the Social Insurance Organization, such as virtual and previous service calculation, pension replacement loan benefits, and work injury cases.
  • Personal Development Plan: This topic provides participants with specialized knowledge in self-development and its importance. It also introduces a tool that enables them to discover and develop personal and leadership skills and abilities, define personal goals and align them with strategic objectives, and identify available development opportunities at both personal and institutional levels.
