Emerging Leadership and Quality Achievements
The Emerging Leaders Preparation Program “Takween” is the third step in the leadership program ladder within the National Leadership Development Program at the Institute of Public Administration. It targets group or team leaders at the operational management level. The program seeks to refine leadership and supervisory capabilities, starting with effective self-management, a mindset that embraces challenge and achievement, and the spirit of Team Bahrain, toward delivering quality national achievements that the Kingdom of Bahrain can take pride in.

Graduation Requirements
- Attend at least 80% of the total classroom training hours.
- Pass the assessment with a score of at least 60%.
- Complete the final project submission stages.
Duration
- 16 training days, equivalent to 70 learning hours.

Program Details
The program consists of the following modules:
- Leader: This module provides participants with knowledge and theories in leadership and the importance of supervisory leadership in achieving results. It also equips participants with tools to discover their leadership capabilities and personal traits that enable leadership, as well as methods that help refine their leadership and supervisory abilities and manage themselves effectively. Participants will also be able to evaluate, follow up, and practice self-monitoring to achieve personal excellence in line with institutional aspirations.
- Customers and Partners: This module provides participants with the basic concepts of emotional intelligence and its importance for a leader's personality. It equips participants with methods that enable them to manage emotions, understand and appreciate others' feelings when dealing with customers and partners, and influence people effectively and positively. Participants will also be able to make sound, well-considered decisions and build a professional network that contributes to achieving institutional aspirations.
- Teams: This module introduces participants to the concept of high-performing teams and the importance of identifying and investing team capabilities to achieve quality results. It provides participants with the skills needed to lead work teams effectively and with high performance, develop team members' strengths and adapt them to team dynamics, and solve administrative problems facing the team.
- Institution: This module provides participants with foundational knowledge in project management, institutional practices in government project management, and the stages of project management. Participants will also learn basic project management tools and how to transform lessons learned from one experience into strengths in other projects to raise quality and achieve results. They will also be able to document practices in distinguished projects to maintain the sustainability of institutional work and participate in conferences and international forums.
- Performance and Innovation: This module provides participants with the concept of design thinking methodology, the stages of the design thinking process, and its areas of use to produce quality initiatives that address priority challenges in the Kingdom of Bahrain and fit the target audience. Participants will also be provided with tools that enable them to apply innovative initiatives.
- Communication and Influence: This module provides participants with the basic skills of concise pitching, helping them attract the audience's attention, communicate an idea, and persuade and influence others within a specific time. It also provides the skills needed for concise presentation and delivery before decision-makers.
